Dear Mr. Moffat,
I’ve been thinking about how to word this. And I realized, it doesn’t really matter how I word anything as long as the point gets across. So my point is this:
I am both disappointed and ashamed.
I am, of course, talking about Doctor Who, the episode titled “The Name Of The…
I was going to write something like this but I think you said it all for me.
If John Hurt is the forgotten Doctor, then does that mean I have to think of 11 as 12? Does it mean the NewWho up until now has been a lie…? (Probably not).
I’m finding it difficult to feel happy about changes to the canon like this, especially when I know it’s just a device of Moffat’s superego.
The worst part was Clara’s hand in helping 1 to choose which Tardis to steal. That stunk. If I was the Doctor and I was taking advice, I wouldn’t take it from Clara.
She is without a doubt the biggest Mary-Sue assistant of all time. There is more personality in my little finger than there is in her entire character.
Her life is based on a leaf. A leaf, people. Do you not see Moffat’s inner lazy?
John Hurt is a nice choice, though. He will be the angry middle-child of Doctors. My last remaining hope is that the Time War is in the anniversary so the DW can move on from this long-running secret-Doctor plot for good.
